Building Reliability

Wilson Marsh Equipment is located in the town of Westwego just ten minutes from the historic city of New Orleans, in southern Louisiana.

Our History

In the early 1960s and 1970s the south Louisiana and Texas economies were booming with the discovery of oil and gas in the coastal marshes. Getting men and machinery into the swampy soft terrain to retrieve the oil and gas presented lots of challenges. A machine was needed with a very low ground pressure, amphibious capabilities, high torque and also capable of carrying heavy payloads. Keeping the fragile eco-system as untouched as possible was also a very big concern. Many designs were tried but nothing was as successful as the hydraulic tracking amphibious marsh buggy. This unique machine can walk in terrains where a man cannot stand, can cross-waterways and can carry heavy payloads such as excavators and cranes.

Paul Wilson started Wilson Marsh Equipment in 1989. Growing up in the marsh buggy industry fascinated and inspired Paul to make many improvements to the marsh machine. Holding several patents and having several more patents pending, the machines Paul Wilson and Wilson Marsh Equipment build are cutting edge designs. Customers know that the quality and dependability of a Wilson Marsh machine is unmatched in the industry.

The name Wilson is welded to the side of every machine we build. If you are proud of what you do, you put your name on it. And If you are really proud of it, you make it permanent.
